We have the honour to cordially welcome you inside the 14th century interiors of the "Pod Gruszką" (The Pear House) restaurant in Cracow.

The restaurant is situated in an ancient house in the corner of the Main Market, where city planners thrust their first stick when they were establishing the city according to the Founding Act of 1257.

Here, in the domestic atmosphere of a traditional townsman's home, among old photographs, pictures, laces, soft carpets, in the warm shine of candle lights reflecting in the mirrors and in the glittering china, you can enjoy the finest delicacies of Old Polish and European cuisine.

Apart from the restaurant, welcome to a cafe and a bar (the favourite place of meetings of Cracow artists and journalists). However, when we don't want to get involved in noisy social life, local chats and gossips, you will be able to taste delicious drinks sitting in a bay window and admiring the view of the market, The Cloth Hall, The Town Hall, carriages and ... citizens of Cracow.

We offer the Fontana Chamber - a monument of class zero, the most beautiful chamber in Poland decorated with baroque stucco by Baltazar Fontana in the 17th century. It used to host the ladies only' club of the famous Sauer Cafe, later Ziemiańska Cafe.

All chambers and interiors of the house are at your kind disposal. We organize theme parties, business lunches etc. We also serve groups (folk, classical or other music may be ordered during the dinner).
