Travel By air: The international airport at Kraków-Balice is the second largest in the country. It serves domestic flights to Warsaw and direct continental connections with many cities of Europe. The city center is easily accessible from the airport either by taxi or public transportation. By taxi it takes about 20-30 min and costs about 60 zloty or 15 euro. One can use a public bus. Go to the right after leaving the terminal. Bus No 292 will take you to the central Krakow. A single ticket costs 2.5 zloty (about 0.7 Euro) and you can buy it from the driver. One can also use the regular rail services to Krakow city center. The Kraków-Balice Station is located app. 200 m from the passenger terminal, you can get there on foot (around 5 min walk) or take a free shuttle bus service which operates to and from Kraków-Balice Station, this is a 3 minute trip from the airport terminal building. By rail: there are many international connections to all the major towns in the neighbouring countries. Warsaw, the capital, can be reached in less than 3 hours, and 10 InterCity trains daily ensure a convenient connection between the two cities.
